BARCELONA IN 5 DAYS

DAY ONE

To really get to know a city, you first have to start with its most emblematic element, and in Barcelona one of the first visits is to the Temple of the Sagrada Familia, designed by the architect Antonio Gaudí.

It’s one of the main tourist attractions and one of the most visited monuments in all of Spain, where you can recreate with a spectacular panoramic view of the whole city when climbing to one of its towers.

Then you should walk along Paseo de Gracia, one of the most famous streets in the city that has a long list of luxurious shops and other businesses which makes it the ideal place if you’re planning a shopping day.

Famous for its luxurious shops and variety of businesses, here you will find a lot of modern buildings, including two emblematic works by Gaudí: Casa Mila, better known as La Pedrera and Casa Batlló.

SECOND DAY

You cannot miss the Ramblas, an emblematic walk full of kiosks, flower sales stops, street performers, street sellers, different shops and many places to enjoy food, drink and live music.

You’ll also find La Boqueria, a colorful market adorned with fresh fruits on the stalls and other products where you can also find delicious gastronomic offerings.

At the end of the Ramblas you’ll find the Christopher Columbus monument and after that you can head to Montjuic Hill, one of the areas with the largest offer of sports and cultural facilities.

Montjuic is home to the National Museum of Art of Catalonia and the Miró Foundation, also the Pueblo Español, an open-air museum that reproduces monuments of various Spanish cities and the Magic Fountain with its water, music and color show.

THIRD DAY

You can start the third day with a visit of the city with a 45 minute ride in helicopter straight from the port. Once finished, very close by is the Barceloneta, a very popular seaside neighborhood often visited by tourists due to its proximity to the beach, there you’ll find excellent restaurants where you can taste the traditional Catalan food at lunchtime.

After lunch, visit the Gothic Quarter, the oldest part of Barcelona where the spectacular Cathedral of Barcelona is located. You can opt for a guided tour in which they explain the stories and curiosities behind the buildings.

Not far from Barceloneta and the Gothic Quarter you will find El Born, a neighborhood known for its mix of modernity and tradition, where you will find good design offers, its main points of interest are the modernist building of the Palau de la Música, the basilica of Santa Maria del Mar and the Picasso Museum.

In the evening, you may want to enjoy of a great variety of bars, restaurants and nightclubs where you can take a walk and enjoy traditional tapas with good music.

FOURTH DAY

Spain is a nation with a long football tradition, and a visit to Barcelona is not complete unless you go to Camp Nou, the largest stadium in Europe with room for 98 thousand spectators and it’s the host of Barcelona Football Club.

Inside it’s the Barça Museum where all the trophies won by the selection are displayed along its centenary sports career.

After your morning a cultural afternoon in Park Güell would be great, this is a large park decorated with imaginative mosaics, sculptures and monuments. It was declared World Heritage of Unesco and there you can enjoy a beautiful panorama of the city.

FIFTH DAY
